Decree of the King's Council of State, containing a privilege to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture, and to Académiciens, for having their works printed and engraved; as well as prohibitions to all Printers, Engravers, or other persons, except those appointed by the said Academy, from printing, engraving, or counterfeiting these works, and from selling any counterfeit copies, on pain of a fine of 3,000 livres, confiscation of all the counterfeit copies, presses, moulds, plates, and other equipment used to print etc. them.

Arrest du Conseil d'Etat du Roy, portant privilege à l'Académie Royale de Peinture & de Sculpture, & aux Académiciens, de faire imprimer & graver leur Ouvrages ; avec défenses à tous Imprimeurs, Graveurs ou autres personnes, excepté celui qui aura été choisi par ladite Académie, d'imprimer, graver ou contrefaire, vendre des Exemplaires contrefaits, à peine de trois milles livres d'amende, confiscation de tous les Exemplaires contrefaits, Presses, Caracteres, Planches gravées, & autres ustensiles qui auront servi à les imprimer, &c.
