Abstract
A printing privilege to print the colony's laws granted by Maryland to William Bladen. The privilege contained a liberty to print, implying exclusivity, and mandated that each county would purchase a copy of the work for a fixed price. The privilege is illustrative of the various measures sporadically used by colonial assemblies to support printers and publishers engaged in printing projects deemed to be of public interest.
