revocably contractually surrendering to voluntarily let sentence on the content thereof and ruling or rulings of the aforesaid Praeses and Assessori by the High Council in Holland, authorizing to that end each of us the first Procurator and Procurators litis for the same Council, where this was being presented, to investigate the aforesaid verdict, and to consent therein respectively, even if it was the wish of one of the Parties alone, without necessitating citation, writ of summons, or further consent; Promising to uphold all that will be done by these Procurators litis, to satisfy the sentence, and to indemn them thereof.

XII.
And in the aforesaid Meeting will also be chosen a Clerk, who will keep good and pertinent records and notes of all, and also, in a Book that will be specifically made therefore, register and note with and together with the Names of each of our Contracting Parties, which Prints are their own, and thereof also, to each of us wishing it, give Copies or extract, in order that thus perfectly can be seen and known, where or with whom those books are procurable.

XIII.
Furthermore, that none of the Contracting Parties will be allowed to sell any Book for net price.

XIV.
And if the Price of a Book printed by someone of the Contracting Parties is deemed to have been set too high, it may be complained of to the aforesaid Praeses and Assessori; which, after hearing the parties and examination of the facts will be allowed to set and moderate this Price in such a manner as they will deem necessary and reasonable, and each of us should conform therewith, without any opposition or contradiction; on penalty, in case of infringement, as will be arbitrated by the aforesaid Praeses and Assessori.

XV.
And each of the Contracting Parties will be held, for each Book that he will print after this, which had never been printed by him before, to pay into the hands of the aforesaid Praeses and Assessori a quarter share of that which the Book costs with him.

XVI.
Finally, that the interpretation of all unclarity or omission which may be argued or encountered in one or more of the aforesaid and to be devised articles, will stand in judgment and ruling of the aforesaid Praeses and Assessori at that time.

Promising We undersigned to faithfully comply with and observe all that is provided, each in his own, without doing, or allow, anything to be done against it in any way, under convenant of our respective persons and goods, none excempted, submitting to all Rights and Judges, Without guile. For the ratification undersigned by the Contracting Parties, fifteenth November of the year xvi and sixty.

roepelijck by Contract overgevende, om ons in den inhouden deses en uytspraecke of uytspraecken van de voorsz Praeses en Assessoren, vrywilligh te sullen laten condemneeren by den Hoogen Rade in Hollant, Constituerende tot dien eynde een yeder van ons den eersten Procureur en Procureurs voor den selven Rade, desen verthoont werdende, om de voorsz condemnatie te versoecken, en daer inne te consenteeren respective, al waer 't ter begeerte van een van Parthyen alleen, sonder dat daer toe eenige citatie, daghvaerdinge, of vorder consent van noden sal zijn; Belovende van waerde te houden, alle 't geene by de selve Procureurs gedaen en verright sal werden, 't gewijsde te voldoen, en hen-luyden daer van te indemneeren.

XII.
En sal by de voorsz Vergaderingh, mede een Scriba gekosen werden, die van alles goet en pertinent register en notitie sal moeten houden, en oock in een Boeck dat daer toe specialijck sal worden gemaeckt, registreeren en aenteeckenen by en beneffens de Namen van een yeder van ons Contractanten, wat Copyen elcks eygen zijn, en daer van mede aen een yegelijck van ons des begeerende, Copye ofte af-schrift moeten geven, ten eynde also perfectelijck sal konnen gesien en geweten worden, waer ofte by wie de selve Boecken te krijgen zijn.

XIII.
Voorts dat niemant van ons Contractanten sal vermogen, eenigh Boeck, netto te stellen.

XIV.
En bij aldien geoordeelt wierde, den Prijs van een Boeck by yemant van ons Contractanten gedruckt, te hoogh gestelt te zijn, sal daer over aen den voorsz Praeses en Assessoren mogen geklaeght worden; Dewelcke, na verhoor van parthyen en examinatie van saecken, sullen vermogen den selven Prijs, soodanigh te stellen en modereren, als hen-luyden raetsaem en redelijck duncken sal, en sal een yeder van ons sigh daer na moeten reguleren, sonder eenige oppositie ofte tegen-seggen; op verbeurte, in cas van contraventie als by den voorsz Praeses en Assessoren, gearbitreert sal worden.

XV.
En yegelijck van ons Contractanten, sal gehouden zijn, voor yeder Boeck, dat hy na dato deses sal komen te drucken, 'tgeene noyt te voren by hem gedruckt is geweest, aen handen van den voorsz Praeses en Assessoren te betalen een vierde part van het geene het selve Boeck by hem in Prijs gestelt sal zijn.

XVI.
Eyndelijck dat de interpretatie van alle duysterheyt ofte omissie die in een of meer van de voorsz en anderen na desen noch te beramen articulen, soude mogen gesustineert ofte bevonden werden, staen sal aen het oordeel en uytspraecke van de voorsz Praeses en Assessoren inder tijt.

Belovende Wy ondergeschreven alle 't geene voorschreven staet, getrouwelijck te onderhouden en naer te komen, elck in 't sijne, sonder daer tegens te doen ofte gedogen gedaen te worden in eeniger maniere, Onder verbant van onse respective personen ende goederen, geen uyt gesondert, de selve submitterende alle Rechten en Rechteren, Sonder argelist. Des t'oirkonde desen by ons Contrahenten ondergeteeckent, den vijffden november anno xvic ende tzestich.
